Rotaract Trip Day One

Hello all boys and girls,

Sorry for the delay that I haven't updated my trip to Niah, Borneo, and Lambir since so long I come back. So many pictures I get, and this took me so long to upload here. Anyway, this is just the first part. I enjoy a lots in this free week. So, will update as hard as I can.

Holiday

Time passes very fast, its already one month after my semester commenced. The first week free is approaching now.

Do you remember the trip I mentioned before in my previous blog? Well, I have decided to go and I will depart tomorrow, lol~~~ I need to wake up around 6 am, I think, as they said we need to gather at the bus stop at 7 am. I hope I can wake up that time. Its been a long long time for me haven't wake up in such an early morning...

Here is a bit information about Niah Cave...

Niah Caves is located within the district of Miri in Sarawak, Malaysia. Part of Niah National Park, the main cave, Niah Great Cave, is located in Gunung Subis and is made up of several voluminous, high-ceilinged chambers. It is not an extensive cave system compared to others in Sarawak. The cave is an important prehistorical site where human remains dating to 40,000 years have been found. This is the oldest recorded human settlement in East Malaysia. Painted Cave has rock paintings dated as 1,200 years old. The caves are also well known for the birds' nest (Swiftlet) industry. It is a popular tourist destination in Sarawak.

Research was pioneered by Tom Harrisson in the 1950/60's. Since then local universities and foreign scientists have continued the archaeological research, and many articles have been published in the Sarawak Museum Journal. The site has been re-excavated (1999-2003+) by a joint British-Malaysian expedition to determine the accuracy of Harrisson's work.

Items found at Niah Cave include Pleistocene chopping tools and flakes, Neolithic axes, adzes, pottery, shell jewellery, boats, mats, then iron tools and ceramics and glass beads dating to the Iron Age. The most famous find is the human skull dated at around 38,000 years. Painted Cave has paintings and wooden coffin 'death ships'.

Niah National Park was 31.4 km² when it was gazetted in 1974.

Pizza Day

Went to Pizza Hut on Tuesday. Although I have to attend a programme named Cradle Investment, but I skipped it after I been there for 30 minutes. Lol...

Since Sharon, Ming Nyuk and Jin Yii need to do their MR research reports, we all decided to go and have our meals at Pizza Hut. Ten of us, Sharon, Ming Nyuk, Jin Yii, Yin Shaet, Ruby, Me, Erica, Jenny, Rachel and Shirlene. This is first time for me, go to have meals at Pizza Hut since I been to Miri, and going out with so many girls. ^^ Oh ya, that day is also Shirlene's birthday. Happy Birthday, Shirlene!

Wonderful Week

I do really enjoy this week~~~

Went to watch movie on Wednesday night with Erica, Ming Nyuk and Jin Yii and with Allan, Pui, Chai and Raymond also. Eight of us go and watch The Mist.

Erica fetch us go to have our dinner first before the movie. We plan to eat at "Jing Wu" but unluckily the shop didn't open that night. So, we went to Hot Spot. This is the first time I been to Hot Spot. Erm... The decoration there not bad eh. The atmosphere there make me relaxing... I ate a plate of Carnabora Spagetti (hope I get the spelling right~ ^^), while the other three girls ate chops.

After eating, we are actually rushing to Bintang Plaza as the time is quite late already. Rain started to fall when we finished eating juz now. The raining makes the cars jam at there. We spent like around 20 minutes, I think, to go into the underground parking and find a parking space. We are already late for 10 minutes for the movie. When we were there, I saw Pui and Raymond actually sitting at the stairs there. I feel very paiseh for letting them waited for so long.

The Mist, is a horror movie. I don't know this when I were there. This is my first horror movie watching the cinema. Pui was sitting at my right hand side while Erica on the left. The movie was disgusting, for me. I felt like want to vomit when watching some scene, especially when I am just finished having my dinner. I was scare, till I grabbed Erica's hand. Erica laugh that this was the first time she watched horror movie till two hands of her was grabbed by others.

We went to have a drink at Seahorse after that. We talk, we laugh, life is so relaxing and enjoying. Talking back to the movie, I have decided to anti-sotong for one month!!!

Overnight at Erica's house for one night. Four of us have classes at 8 am. Yet, we sleep at around 3 am that day. As my housemates haven't wake up that early in the morning, I straight away went to class wearing the same clothes and without all my study materials. This is pretty sure the first time for me. Lol~~~ Yet, I am enjoying all these...
